Welcome to Noah's Ark Village

NAVL is a Community Based Organization (CBO) registered in Uganda whose mandate is to advocate for children with disabilities. It was founded by Nakato Angella in 2014, driven by a passion to restore dignity to children with special needs and provide a safe space where they can live their life to the fullest and achieve their God-given potential. Children with disabilities are one of the most marginalized groups worldwide. In Uganda, 13 per cent of all children – more than 2.5 million – are living with a disability. However the widespread local belief that disabilities are an ‘untreatable curse’ mean that these children and their families are frequently ostracized from their communities, educational and healthcare institutions, as well as from social and leisure activities.01:1

Caring For Children With Special Needs

In Uganda and many parts of the world, children with special needs are considered a curse, unwanted, unloved, and often abandoned. We want to restore their value and share with the world the infinite worth of each precious Gem! We are a home and a safe place for abandoned, neglected, and abused children with special needs.

Current Status:

NAVL is currently looking after 78 children with special needs including
